Live-In Caregiver Program

Live-in Caregiver Program is the official name given by the Canadian Government, which allows qualified caregivers from abroad to legally work in Canada as a live-in caregiver. Caregivers provide care for children, elderly persons, or people who have disabilities in a private household without supervision. The caregiver is required to live with the employer in his/her respective home. Canada acknowledges the labour market need for Live-In Caregivers. It is also recognized that generally there are insufficient Canadians or Permanent Residents available to fill these positions. Hence, the Live-In Caregiver Program was created in response to this.
