Travel and Airline Advanced– A world of new Destinations!

Description

Graduates of our Travel & Airline diploma program are working in Canada and other parts of the world. They are employed with travel agencies, airlines, airports, cruise lines, ground operators and tour wholesalers. They make airline reservations, book tours, calculate fares, and issue airline tickets from short day trips to complex journeys around the world.

Our Graduates are also able to give professional advice to travellers with regards to where to go sightseeing, engage in adventure & sports, what to eat and drink, and recommend the best buys in the area. They are knowledgeable about health, customs and immigration requirements of a country, foreign exchange and can identify languages and social norms.

Course Outline

Components of our diploma program include:

  • World Destinations and Geography
  • Travel and Tourism Operations
  • Sales and Customer Service
  • Airline Tariff and Ticketing: Domestic & International
  • Airline Computerized Reservation System: Apollo or Sabre
  • SuperHost Fundamentals
  • E-Marketing for the Travel Industry
  • Integrated Computer Applications (Microsoft Office Applications)
  • Aussie Specialist Certificate
  • Customers with Disabilities Seminar and Certificate
  • Sales and Customer Service Workshop and Certificate
  • Job Preparation and Interview Skills
  • CITC Level 1 (12 credits), and Travel Industry Professional Development Courses (48 credits), for a total of 60 CITC (Educational Standards Division) credits towards Certified Travel Counsellor certification
  • 4-week Work Experience

Schedule

Advanced Diploma: 33 Weeks, Monday to Thursday, some Fridays
