Cooperative education is a method of learning which utilizes the resources of Tourism Training Institute and its wide network of contacts within the tourism industry. Students who have successfully completed the Travel & Airline Advanced, Hotel Management, Cruise Hospitality, Tourism Management and Adventure and Ecotourism diploma programs have the opportunity to blend their classroom studies with an authentic monitored work environment.
Work placement enables the student to gain practical experience and references in their areas of interest while developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for employment within the tourism industry. Our work experience placement makes the transition from school to work easier.
Study Tours
Another way we give our students an opportunity to practice what they have learned is the Study Tour. Our students travel from Canada to Amsterdam, Las Vegas, Reno and other popular tourist destinations. Sometimes a 3 day cruise can also happen!
Academic Staff
Our instructors come from various sectors of the tourism industry. Many of them are currently employed in the tourism field which ensures that the training you receive is always up to date. Our academic staff has many years of experience teaching at university and post-secondary levels and have also participated in the development of training manuals and textbooks fundamental to our industry throughout the country.
